Chef Diana Davila has wowed critics and diners alike with her groundbreaking Chicago restaurant, Mi Tocaya, where she serves up cuisine she’s dubbed, “Midwest Mexican.” Her eclectic menus mirror the wide-ranging, genre-spanning playlist she provided us. The mix includes tracks from Madonna, The Orwells, Shakira, Grimes, Radiohead and Chicago’s own Kanye West.
“At Mi Tocaya we all like to listen to music you want to dance to, positive music that makes you feel good. It's a great way to get ready for service,” Diana said. “We listen to a lot of different genres of music which is great because there’s usually a little something for everyone on the team. Your taste in music kind of grows and evolves along with you, so I like to listen to music that reminds me a little bit about all the different stages in my life--it’s definitely a diverse mix!"
